| Here Dr. Peng is treating a young
girl with cerebral palsy. The beautiful thing about treatments in China, is the
participation by the whole family. Mom is assisting Dr. Peng by stabilizing her
daughter, so he can work with her excessive internal rotation. There never seemed to be a
shortage of smiles, even with such debilitating dis-eases. Dr. Peng, alias Superman, lead our group of thirteen, including another chiropractor from Minneapolis, every morning for 13 days in Qi Gong exercises. Specifically, Nei Gong Yi Jin Jing and Shoalin Nei Gong exercises. These are ancient techniques developed for strengthening the tendons & ligaments of healing arts practitioners, (or anyone disciplined enough to practice them.) |

At the end of our first week in
Guangzhou, Saturday morning following Yi Jin Jing exercises and breakfast, we traveled to
a Buddhist monastery 3 hours west of the city. Interesting to note, they have only recently finished an eight lane highway that resembles any major highway in the states, but there are no street lights or stop signs. People simply choose to not hit one another. Pretty amazing in such a huge, HUGE country. This Bonsai tree was exceptional. I spent some time admiring it before moving on. |
